Creating Active Environments Workshop
Date: October 3, 2005
Time: 9:00 am to 4:0 pm
Location: 100 Constellation - Lotus Room, Ottawa
This workshop was developed as the result of a request from the Eastern Region Heart Health Network members wanting to learn more about active transportation. The HHRC, in its role to suport healthy living coordinators and their training needs, took on the role of supporting the workshop in both funding for the facilitator and resources and coordination of the planning. Early in the planning process, it was agreed that we would expand the workshop beyond active transportation to include active environments in order to explore the areas where people live, work, and play and not just how they move from one point to another.
